Matthew was rather wet. If somebody stopped them, Jake said that he should say that he had been on fire, and had to be put out. Or that he was just sweating a lot. Or just say, "I'm wet? Me? Well, your mother dresses you funny" but that's not a good thing to say to a police man when you're soaking wet. Even if you are Matthew or Jake.
