contacted Brador. told me about assassination of Devron
Thizzold. associated with a pentagram symbol (on small coin found near
killing - brought to me by Brador).  Investigated.  Thizzold seemed to
be meeting with someone - brandy, book, etc.  garrotte held him in
place while dagger pierced his skull.  Windspur is carrying out an
investigation.

 visited the temple in the center of the forrest via dragonback.  ran
into a primitive demihumans who warned of dangers at the temple.
encountered shadowy shapes at temple, all in black, with giant evil
`tree'.  investigated tree while others assaulted castle.  nicked it
with sd and was thrown a few hundred feet away by the resulting
explosion.  inside of temple covered with decaying bodies and
pentagrams.  Colonel waits inside while others plan disposal of the
bodies...  a short while later, inside erupts in flames as colonel
walks out.  inside now transformed into shining white, pillars and
bass-reliefs everywhere.  We leave.
