Here's the thing I was thinking about for Lars: The idea Lars had finally had just too much exposure to the various types of `wierd shit' over the past few years... Vampires and secret cabals are one thing, but then we have mages, clerics, and dragons. Then we have the `demons', or whatever they are; the `big bibilical evil'. And then C--n, angels, and wrath-of-God stuff happening. And now, finally, we have the personal interview with God. Basically, the idea is that Lars has found a `mission in life' again -- a `Mission from God'. While he may not be sure about the whole `origins of man' thing, what he *does* know is good enough -- there's this really strong, somewhat mysterious `presence' that is opposed to the `Bad Guys', but can't interfere directly. This presence has agreed to help Lars (and others) defeat the great Evil, although Lars may have to sacrifice himself in the end. What I'd like to do, if it's ok with you, is have Lars start `playing up' the religious mission bit more and more as time goes on. He may try to explain it to his friends at first (although that'll be tough with the `exclusion' that's preventing him from saying certain things), but I'd like to have it somewhat slowly develop, eventually to the point where he's `preaching' to the bad guys about how they should repent before they are destroyed. The related game-mechanics I was think of were `Control Illumination' and `Faith'. Control Illumination is an electrokinet ability (first level of photokinetics) that allows me to make it darker or brighter in the area. I'd use this (perhaps subconsciously) for the `holy aura' effect. Faith is a little stranger -- I don't really know if it makes sense in the world or not, even. Assuming that it does, I'd be interested in spending some XP to increase my faith score, to go along with the changes in character belief.
