File mosml/src/dynlibs/mgd/fonts.txt How to create new GD fonts, e.g. for ISO Latin 1 ------------------------------------------------ Note: Some X fonts are 7 bit although they have suffix -iso8859-1. 0. Go to the gd directory 1. Start an X font server xfs & 2. Create the fonts This requires converting, for each of the five fonts, (a) from X font server format to bdf, and (b) from bdf format to gd font format. This is accomplished by cp -p makefonts cd ./makefonts make clean all The list below shows some other choices: fstobdf -s localhost:7100 -fn -misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--7-70-75-75-c-50-iso8859-1 | bdftogd FontTiny gdfontt fstobdf -s localhost:7100 -fn -misc-fixed-medium-r-semicondensed--0-0-75-75-c-0-iso8859-1 | bdftogd FontSmall gdfonts fstobdf -s localhost:7100 -fn -misc-fixed-bold-r-normal--13-100-100-100-c-70-iso8859-1 | bdftogd FontMediumBold gdfontmb fstobdf -s localhost:7100 -fn -misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--15-140-75-75-c-90-iso8859-1 | bdftogd FontLarge gdfontl fstobdf -s localhost:7100 -fn -misc-fixed-bold-r-normal--15-140-75-75-c-90-iso8859-1 | bdftogd FontGiant gdfontg
