Users having Falco terminals are fortunate in that they have more options for setting up the terminal, in particular for the number of lines which can go onto the screen. However, with this added complexity comes the danger of getting the setup wrong. The standard Falco option of TAGIBM will NOT change the setup: other options WILL change the setup, and will revert to the standard setting when the user logs out of the IBM. A Falco can have several windows: you will normally have an alphanumeric window and possibly a graphics window. In order to see all of the window the screen size must be at least the window size (and one line more if you want the Falco status line at the top). Most Falco problems occur when the screen size is exactly the window size (e.g. 25 lines) AND the Falco status line is at the top: the cursor line is then BELOW the bottom of the screen. You can either increase the screen size (in the setup procedure) or shift the whole screen up with Ctrl F7. I consider that the simplest way to setup your Falco is to start up TAGIBM and ask for terminal type fs or ft: you then get a 25-line window and a 26-line screen. If you like this then go into the setup menu and save the settings; if not then logout and then save the settings. Either way, when you next switch the Falco off and on you will have the setup that you want.
