I am a research scientist in the Human Systems Laboratory which in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I am currently working on the following research projects (1) Developing an Augmented Reality HUD for Railroad Locomotives, (2) Developing an Enhanced Manual Mode for Locomotive Operations and (3) Studying the role of Virtual and Augmented Reality systems for teleoperation and training. My research interests include telerobotics, human-machine interaction, human spatial ability and navigation, eye movements, the effects of fatigue on complex task performance, and human modeling. I am also developing software and conducting operations for the Mars Oxygen ISRU Experiment (MOXIE) which is currently operating aboard the Mars2020 rover on Mars.
