Descendents of Oberon
Partial List of Children and Grandchilden

Here's a listing of the commonly known descendants of Oberon (ie the royal family of Amber). It's generally assumed that all the grandchildren and great grandchildren aren't accounted for and there are certainly some children long enough dead that they've been forgotten.

Children of Oberon

Benedict: son of Oberon and Cymnea. He has one known child, his son Alexander and is seldom seen in Amber. He is rumored to have had two brothers, sent to their deaths by Oberon long before the rest of the family was born.

Eric (deceased): son of Oberon and Faiella; died defending Amber from the forces of Chaos. He has one known child, his son, Noah.

Corwin: son of Oberon and Faiella. He has one known child, Merlin, his son by the Lady Dara Helgram. He is occasionally seen in Amber for brief periods, usually both arriving and departing suddenly.

Caine: son of Oberon and Faiella. He has no known children and spends most of his time either in Amber or with the fleet.

Deirdre (deceased): daughter of Oberon and Faiella; dragged into the Abyss by Brand at the end of the Patternfall war. She was not known to have any children, until Corwin discovered her daughter Elena in shadow not long ago.

Absalom (deceased): son of Oberon and Harla. The clear favorite of Oberon, he was assassinated before Asya was born. He was all but forotten until his son Cedric turned up looking for him a few weeks ago.

Bleys: son of Oberon and Clarissa. He has no known children and is seen in Amber only occasionally. His visits often coincide with Fiona's.

Fiona: daughter of Oberon and Clarissa. She has no known children and is only in Amber occasionally, though often at the same time as Bleys.

Llewella: daughter of Oberon and Moins. She has no known children and spends most of her time in Rebma.

Brand (deceased), son of Oberon and Clarissa; he plunged into the Abyss after being shot twice in the throat by Caine, ending the Patternfall War. He is generally viewed as power mad, and the primary cause of the much of the trouble of the Patternfall War. He has no known children.

Kieran: son of Oberon and Kinta Moir. Handsome and powerful, but also young and impetuous, he and Willem were very constant companions and some time rivals. They met a bad end while Caine was still in short pants. Supposedly executed long ago in shadow along with Willem for giving offense to a powerful King in their mother's homeland, rumors of recent encounters with him in shadow have begun to spread around Amber, and his death is now in question.

Willem: (deceased) son of Oberon and Kinta Moir; supposedly executed long ago in shadow along with Kieran for giving offense to a powerful King in their mother's homeland.

Aysa (deceased): daughter of Oberon and Kinta Moir. She was shy and pretty and the darling of her brother. She committed suicide after receiving word of their death.

Julian: son of Oberon and Rilga. He has one child, a son named Gregory. He is generally either in Arden or in Amber.

Gerard: son of Oberon and Rilga. He has no known children and is in Amber whenever he is not with the fleet.

Flora: daughter of Oberon and Dybelle. She has two acknowledged daughters, Melanie (now deceased) and Jasmine, and one granddaughter, Morley Black. Flora is generally in Amber seeing to matters of protocol, except when she is off in shadow looking for a new lover.

Random: son of Oberon and Paulette. He has two sons, neither by his wife, Vialle. Martin, his son by the deceased princess of Rebma, is slightly older than Nathan, his son by a noblewoman from shadow. He is also the King.

Mirelle (deceased): daughter of Oberon and Paulette. She died in a boating accident when she was small.

Grandchildren of Oberon

Alexander: son of Benedict and Mara. Benedict's only son, he was brought to Amber by his father shortly after Random became King and is generally there. He resembles his father in a great many things, not the least of which is his taciturn nature.

Noah: son of Eric and Thera. A loner by nature, he is rarely seen in Amber. It is generally assumed that still unhappy about his father's death, but lacking anyone to pursue a vendetta against, he looks to vent his frustrations in shadow.

Merlin: son of Corwin and Dara. Conceived as part of a plot by Chaos to place someone they controlled on the throne of Amber, he has instead found himself the head of a major house in Chaos and spends most of his time there. His mother, Dara, once claimed to be a grandaughter or great granddaughter of Benedict, but he has denied this claim. Regardless, Dara has been seen to walk the Pattern of Amber, which is believed impossible for one not of the blood of Amber.

Elena: daughter of Deirdre. Only recently discovered by Corwin, very little is known of her, save that she hopes to walk the Pattern soon and that Corwin seems to have taken a liking to her.

Cedric: son of Absalom. Apparently born not too far from the Golden Circle, he arrived in Amber, bearing Absalom's Pattern Sword, Yaghijan, after many years of searching for his missing father and was displeased to learn of his death. He has a quiet and intense nature and is accompanied everywhere by an even quieter and somewhat sullen manservant named Tibbet.

Gregory: son of Julian and Dian. The only son of Julian, Gregory had actually been living in Arden and serving with Julian's men for years before being formally announced and acknowledged as such to the rest of the family.

Melanie (deceased): daughter of Flora and Lord Arthur Stockwell of Gossol. She had one child, Morley, by the infamous pirate Harry Black.

Jasmine: daughter of Flora and Jerrick van Raalte of Reischia. She was brought to Amber by Flora to watch over the newly captured Morley, but has since walked the Pattern. After a brief excusrion in shadow, she seems to have settled in Amber for the moment.

Martin: son of Random and Morganthe. He was first brought to Amber during the Patternfall war by his father after his unfortunate experience with Brand, which has left him cagey and suspcious. Until then his only family aquaintance was with his uncle Benedict. Martin is usually in Amber, though he makes a great many short side trips.

Nathan: son of Random and Magda. He was found by Random and brought to Amber to walk the Pattern shortly after Random became King. He is often in shadow and known as a mischiefmaker and rogue.

Great-Grandchildren of Oberon

Morley Black: daughter of Melanie and Harry Black. Up until very recently, she made her career as a notorious pirate in the Golden Circle, when she was captured by Prince Nathan. She remained under house arrest in Amber for all of about a week, before she mysteriously escaped (or was quietly executed, depending which rumor you believe).
