Subject: Lecturers needed
Anyone want to be officious and stuffy for a day? The University of Carolingia Faculty needs you!

We have lost at least two of our lecturers from last spring, and thus have room for more learned people in robes on the Saunders stage. This fall the lecture periods will be somewhat offset from the Student Quarter activities (due to the different times that we have the theater and the hall reserved), so you may be able to lecture even if you're involved in other University activities.

If you would like to lecture but don't have time to research a suitable topic (or have no idea what to say), don't worry -- we have a lecture ready to go. Countess Mara will not be lecturing to fall, but will be supplying us with her text from last spring. This lecture, on the abduction of women for the purpose of marriage, would be especially appropriate for a woman to read. (Female scholars were somewhat rare, but they did exist.)

Don't delay! Get in touch with me by 15 September, as Elayne has decreed that that's the faculty recruitment deadline.

Eowyn, Rector
