I ain't calling it no names. I'm objecting to the requirement for
something which many people feel is a necessary part of the SCA, entering
competitions. It may be a Society for Compulsive Authenticity for some
and I salute them, but it is _not_ the Soc. for Compulsory Authenticity,
at least not while I'm around to fight that mindset. (Not that I am
accusing you or Arlys of that mindset, but it _is_ out there, and
extreme requirements for docco help reinforce it.)

Naw, I mean SCA-relevant words to a modern tune. I differentiate
what you have specified as "contra-fait", the period term for new words
to an existing tune.

I repeat, I ain't saying rude things about people. I may be a rude
rustic, but I ain't impolite. What I object to is competitions which
are so picky that you _can't_ find qualified judges for them.

No I don't. I can enter without docco and take my lumps like a man.
Just remember, "a man's a man even if he hath but a hose for his head".
As for asking me about it later -- sure! No problem! I'll even tell
you about the little project I have in mind for back-translating it into
German....
