{Blurp} The wave crashes over Owen as he struggles for air. A slight
deflection of the firehose and He gets another breath, and then the stream nails
him in the gut, almost taking away that hard won breath. {Sputter}

Okay, for those of you who know me, you can pretty much ignore this, unless
you're interested in finding places to get feast gear, and other quasi-starter
stuff.

If you don't know me, you should, but then, I may not know you either so we're
even.

Anyway, (if you can't tell the water is definitely effecting my brain...) I
haven't been to a normal meeting in a couple weeks -- something I'll continue
trying to get to, but the firehose seems set on Eviscerate right now; however, I
am the Castellan of Mitgaard. That is I am the keeper of the stuff. We have a
number (fairly small) of wooden bowls and various mugs and some loaner garb that
I can lend to people as needed. Currently we have most of the inventory in
hand. However, seeing as how we have n-trillion people going to Crown, I figure
I should try to show people some tricks to finding stuff if they want as there
is no way our loaner stuff can cover all (don't take this to mean that you need
to have stuff for Crown -- we can find you loaner stuff, but a number of people
might be interested in just how to go about becoming medieval in a modern world).

So, sometime soon (I'll post when my scedule looks like I might have an
afternoon free) I'll lead an expedition to some of the local merchants for
generally useful things. Furthermore, I'll try to compile a list of useful and
interesting stores in the nearby vicinity that people can use (people are
welcome to add their opinion to what stores are useful, too).

To start, here are a few:

Salvation Army Thrift Store -- Central Square.
It's no coincidence that this store heads the list -- you can often find good
feast gear for very little money here. Also has a lot of knick knacks that may
or may not be just what you're looking for.

True-Value -- Central Square
Mostly, this store is just close. It carries a number of useful things --
everything from lamp oil to rivets.

Woolsworth -- Central Square
Similar to True-Value

There are several store sin Harvard square which sell things we can use. I am
not, unfortunately, given to remember names, so I can only describe them
currently. There is a bead store there, as well as a general eating utensil
place there which carries veritably every kind of plate, bowl, cup, and
silverware known to the Modern age; as Modernity seems to fold back on itself we
can often find some neat medievalish stuff. There's also a store which sells
candles and blackwork candlestands and things.

I'll post more when I can...

{Slosh} the water returns....
