Subject: NEFFA Sound Volunteers Needed
Date: Mon, 11 Apr 1994 00:56:46 -0400
From: Michael Bergman <augment@world.std.com>

It's still not too late to volunteer for the New England Folk Festival!
Volunteers can work as little as one hour, and can get in free either
to one session of the Festival or the whole Festival, depending on how
much time they work.

We need volunteers of all sorts, but I am particularly soliciting
Sound Crew and Stage Crew.

Stage Crew work in the dance halls, adjusting microphones and
generally assisting the musicians in getting settled, at the direction
of a professional sound technician. Stage Crew need to sign up for a
six hour (or more) block of time, (although we could make allowances
for, say, 4 hours on, four off, two on), but don't work continuously
while "on" -- they set up each band, and then get to go dance until
its time for the next band.

Sound Crew work in the concert halls, and do all the same things that
the Stage Crew do, in addition to which they run a mixer/amplifier.
They have more responsibility, less supervision, and shorter shifts.
They can work either a block of time or several one hour shifts. We
encourage them to work as long as they think they'll enjoy it, but 4
hours is all it takes to get you into the whole Festival for free.

If interested, contact Jana Asher at (603) 595-0280
(emilia@world.std.com) or Mike Bergman at augment@world.std.com. The
former is preferable.

If not interested, my aplogies for cluttering your mailbox.

The Festival is April 22, 23, and 24. A tentative schedule of
concerts, workshops, and dances is available from Jana.
