Subject: The Russian event
Date: Mon, 28 Feb 94 23:06:29 EST

I'll be collecting reservations to Maslenitsa at the Wednesady meeting.
Off-board and out-board reservations are $3.50 and on-board reservations are
$9.50. There is an additional $2.50 in it for an optional day board.

The event will be on Saturday, March 12th. The site is going to be the
Kennedy Middle School (655 Lexington St.) in Waltham. If you are going, rides
will be arranged. Such things will be deal with at the mitgaard meeting
(Wednesday).

Some advertising (as seen, or yet to be seen, in the Miniscule):

O mighty boyar! O magnificent Tsarina! Come and celebrate
with the humble Russian folk of the Barony of Carolingia on
Saturday, March 12, 1994 as we prepare for the long weeks of
Lent. The time has come again to gorge ourselves on the
fine foods, plentiful pastries, and delicious drinks ---
and what suptuous foods they must be, if the memory of them
is going to last for 40 days and 40 nights.

The tables will groan under the weight of the many rare
foods! An optional day board will delight your tastebuds
with hearty peasant fare! The sound of clashing swords
will fill the air! Feasting and revelry is the order of
the day --- with games and competitions for folk of all
	kind.

...so you get a picture of how things are going to be. There will also be
great music :)

See you there.
Arthur,
AEthelstan the Soft
