This is why you can try to buy insurance for the day and incorporate it 
into the price of the event.  Besides, plenty of people rent halls 
without liability insurance - usually for weddings.  If you rent as a 
private individual instead of the representative of an organized group, 
sites may not even care about liability insurance.  This is something 
that ought to be investigated.

There are ways of reducing possibilities of liability:  no fighting or 
fencing or archery, no cooking, etc.  But I'm sure that insurance for the 
day can probably be purchased somewhere.  Does anyone know anything about 
this?
