Subject: Getting Reform INFO

Hi folks! Here's an update on how to get reform-related information:

If you can't get ftp you can drop me a note and ask to have a short or
a full set of documents sent to you via email. Just drop me a message
at 'dschroeder@cmu.edu' and I'll get back to you promptly.

If you'd like hard copy of quite a bit of the information, send email to:

   Mistress Marian Greenleaf kee@nl.cs.cmu.edu

Lady Elsbeth Anne Roth (kvs@cs.cmu.edu) has set up an ftp directory
with a number of the informational postings previously circulated
with INFO in the Subject field in it. It includes most of the stuff
that was part of the recent mailing to people in the East Kingdom
by Mistress Marian Greenleaf, plus some other material of interest.

Most of the information is still in ASCII form, but other formats
that are more polished will be put in the ftp-able directory as
soon as we've got them ready. There is a PostScript version
of the petition available now. MS-Word (PC/Mac) formats will
be available soon, too, for many documents.

If you're connected to the internet and can ftp here's how
to access the directory (apologies to the fully Unix literate).

To retrieve the files, type ftp nimbus.gp.cs.cmu.edu

When you're asked for a Name: type ftp (or 'anonymous')

When you're asked for a Password type (your internet id xxx@yyy.zzz)

At the next prompt type cd /usr/kvs/pub/BoD/

Now you can list files by typing ls

To move files to your directory, type get <filename>

  When you're done, type bye

You may want to look at the README file that summarizes the
contents of the other files in the directory first. A copy
of the current version is appended.

Please let Lady Elsbeth know if you have any problems with getting
the files. Check with me if you have materials to add to the list
or have any questions about how to best find what you need.

Many thanks -- my best -- Bertram (dschroeder@cmu.edu)
