From: sca@ATHENA.MIT.EDU Subject: To Make Proper Garb Date: Wed, 18 Sep 91 19:33:44 EDT Greetings, good gentles! One of the parts of the Society is clothing one's self in a respectable manner. To this end, we will gladly teach all who wish in the crafting of garb. This coming 28th of September, a Saturday, an expedition to Chinatown will be held for the purpose of purchasing fabric. We shall meet by the Kendall T (inbound side) station at 10:30am. We shall visit a number of establishments and view their wares (and make purchases), then we shall have lunch on exotic, Far Western (read as: Chinese) cuisine. All good gentles should come with funds for both cloth and food, and the fare for the T (two ways). It is also advised all good gentles wear shoes comfortable for walking long distances. Then, on the 6th of October there shall be sewing. As of yet, the time for this is undecided, but it shall happen at Random Hall. In this way, all who wish should be able to make for themselve clothing to wear to the Falling Leaves Tourney. Three days later, Chris Hooker and Rachel Caileff and Dan Brown returned to finish projects (a sort of unofficial follow-up sewfest for those who needed help finishing problem garments.)
