Yes, I must admit that the soup was powerful; while I wouldn't go so
far as to call it *too* hotly spiced, it definitely left me with quite
a tingle, and I'm a fan of hot food. Other high points included a
sausage and raisin pie that I actually liked (I usually loathe these),
and a tiny-but-tasty bit of venison for each feaster...

It should also not be forgot that there were several Carolingians
honored in court. Off the top of my head:

-- Colin Ursell and Peter the Red were made Grandmaster Bowmen;
-- Vladislav received his well-due arms;
-- and my lady Caitlin was inducted into the Order of the Pelican,
   after getting the coolest vigil I've ever seen. (Many thanks to
   all who helped with that, and Susan, Dante, and Branwyn in
   particular for their work on the vigil.)

Vivant! to them all...

 And, in the unlikely event it *did* become a Saturday morning cartoon,
   chances are there wouldn't be a canine sidekick called Roschach-Dog."
