While I thank Richard for the complements (and am glad to hear he's
moving back), I fear he overstates the case a bit. I'm a competent
dancer, a barely adequate scholar, and a diplomat only in the sense
that I have started my share of (flame) wars. I'm proud of my
accomplishments, but I'm a far cry from the Platonic Ideal of a
Carolingian...
