                         AUTOCRAT'S BREAKFAST

Eowyn has kindly pointed out to me that my announcement at Council for
Autocrat's Breakfast was a little thin and less than nourishing.  Let's see
if I can't supplement it a bit.

One of the essential ingredients for any SCA group is events.  Attendence at
events is also one of the things almost every SCA participant has in common.
It would be a good thing if we had good events.  Good for everybody, and
good for you, too.

Darcy Campion of Devereaux started serving up an "about autocratting"
meeting a bunch of years ago.  But it isn't just for autocrats.  It's for
attendees of events, too.  So, as part of that tradition, I occasionally
host an Autocrat's Breakfast, or Roundtable.

The next one is at my home, 84 Egerton Road, Arlington, on Sunday April
24th, at noontime.  I cordially invite anyone and everyone to attend, to
discuss how to run events, and how to make events more fun to attend.  I
intend to cover some special information about the specifics of running gate
and accepting waivers, covering new regulations and financial reporting
requirements.  We will get that out of the way quickly, along with a fast
mention of new requirements for event announcements.

I hope that anyone who has particular ideas or requests for things to talk
about, will contact me in advance, I especially invite folks who have never
run any part of an event, but would like to know how its done (just in
case), with a specific welcome to autocrats, past, present and future.

Tibor's question of the month (which I don't have the answer to) is how do
we make writing event reports faster, and how should we deal with the huge
amount of lost and found in my attic and basement...

It will be fun.  If nothing else, we can tease the cat. (:-)  Please spread
the word, and let me know if you want me to prepare any materials in
advance, and roughly how many people I can expect.  Also, I will provide
some food (its a breakfast after all), but please bring a goody to add to
the pile.
