  I gave the impression in my letter about conflicting events that it was a
  deliberate act of sabotage, apparently -- this was not intended.  I was
  merely intending to point out that Carolingia holding an event of any kind
  while a more northerly event was going on was going to draw away people (as
  it has, Caitlin; you shall not be attending EKU, will you?  And congrats
  on the Peerage, too, BTW).  I know some, but not much, about the sceduling
  nonsense that has been going on, so I wasn't attempting to place blame for it
  on anyone.

  I was, however, pointing out how it might end up contributing to the "joke"
  about Carolingia opressing the North.
