The Felding demo last night was a lot of fun for the twenty some odd 
SCAdians who showed up.  Unfortunately, there were only two interested 
non-SCAdians there, and they left early.  But it got me thinking:  why 
not hold demos for ourselves?  I learned some new things last night about 
harps and music, and I'm sure other participants learned things about 
activities outside of their realms of interest.  Another bonus is that it 
creates a wonderful party atmosphere that you just don't get at events 
nowadays because they're just too big.  Stories are told, ideas are 
exchanged, food is eaten, knowledge is imparted...sounds a lot like what 
the SCA used to be before it got so huge.

Once my backyard thaws out (probably in April, at this rate) I might be 
interested in hosting one of these if the interest is great enough.  
Would people be interested in attending a demo directed solely at 
SCAdians?
