  Vinland was what the Norse called bits of extreme East North America
  at about 1000 AD.  Master Justin doesn't care for the SCA using this name
  for the Northern Principality because his persona isn't Norse.

  Carolingia is also a name for a period part of Europe.  I was curious as
  to whether Master Justin (unless, of course, his persona would have lived
  in the real [ie: historical] Carolingia) had a similar problem with what the
  SCA in Boston calls itself.
  
  The character of Master Justin is not in question; I'm assured that he's a
  sterling fellow.
