Subject: Medievalish folk needed for Med.-Manor-type dinner

I was approached tonite at a Masonic function by the Master of
North Reading Lodge of Masons. They have planned a "Medieval-
Manor" type dinner, but some of their scheduled entertainment
has apparently finked out. They are *desperate* for people to
come and be medieval-ish. They are not looking for an
authentic demo -- more the movie-style Henry VIII pig-out style
of silliness. This is short notice: it's on April 16. I gave
the Master the number of the Carolingian Hotline and Baroness
Elspeth (the only ones I knew by heart: hotline will, I trust,
forward to appropriate individuals, and Bridge has experience in
this sort of folderol.) I made it clear that the SCA itself
probablywouldn't get involved in this, but individual members
might. Rather than have individuals contact him though, anyone
interested can email me, and maybe a response can be coordinated.
So if you're not going to Simple Fare, and feel like being silly,
drop me a line.

PS I didn't discuss any sort of compensation at all, so the answer
to "What's in it for us?" is probably "dinner".
