Briefly (I hope)...

Solvieg makes some interesting points, which I will not repeat.  RE: Haman,
Hitler, etc, we have a saying: Never Again.  Coupled with this is another:
Never Forget.  Those who do not learn from history, etc. 

Also, re: Duke and Count vs. Chivalry Orders as exemplars of virtue -
These points also make sense.  The person involved was removed from the
orders of peerage, recognising that he did not maintain the virtues necessary.
However, he was, is, and shall remain a Duke.  He was twice (?) a king.
These accolades do not carry any attendant implication of virtue or honor
at all; looking at history this is often quite accurate.  Many of te royalty
held themselves as above the law they enacted.

More commentary would not be useful.  I do not believe in the striking of any
name from the roles of royalty: if anything, we should teach and learn.
