He is, of course, entirely correct. I was using the Peers as a bit
of a rhetorical device, to point out that *anyone*, no matter how
involved, can go through burnout, or otherwise experience a case of
Life, and drop down to a relatively low level of activity.

However, losing the folks who help provide the atmosphere, by joining
in our group experience, is just as painful, if not more so. And a lot
of them aren't going to find $20 a year for a couple of events to be
an especially good investment...
