TRIUMPHS OF ORIANA				Dec 5, 1998
Shire of Dragon's Mist (Rivers Region)

Welcome all to a day of wondrous entertainments, capped by a sumptuous
Elizabethan feast! We invite all worthies to compete in this celebration
of the medieval and Renaissance performing arts, in the following
categories: Vocal (solo, group), Instrumental (solo, group), Drama (solo,
group), Poetry, Storytelling, Feast Entertainment (broken consort,
oration, presentation, juggling, etc.), and, for the first time ever,
Group Dance! There is no overall winner, only winner(s) per category, so
you may enter as many categories as you wish. Entries are time limited to
10 minutes maximum. Extra points may be earned for Renaissance arts.
Competition begins at 10am. Entrants encouraged to pre-register--contact
Arlys (see below).

The audience is invited to bring tokens to reward their favorite
performers.

The feast is limited to 100 tickets. Tickets are available now. All seats
are first come, first served. Deadline for feast reservations if Nov.
28th. Make checks or money orders payable to "Shire of Dragon's Mist, SCA
Inc.," and send to Leslie Schweitzer, 8675 SW Avery, Tualitin, OR 97062.

FEES: $14 (feast and site), or $5 (site only).

SITE AND DIRECTIONS: The site is the Beaverton Masonic Lodge located at
the corner of SW 2nd and Washington Streets in downtown Beaveron. Take
your best route to Hwy 217 headed towards Beaverton. Turn off at exit 2B
(Allen Blvd) and head west on Allen. turn right on Hall Blvd, headed
towards downtown Beaverton. Follow numbered signs to SW 2nd, turn west
onto Washington. Lodge is a large brick building with a prominent sign.
Street parking only nearest the site; lot parking within a few short
blocks at Methodist and Congregationalist churches at 4th and 5th streets
on Washington, respectively.
