	Aesop works fairly well.  There are some decent translations
available, as many of the monastic orders in period loved the old morals.
I use a few with children, and some in nightime camp wandering.
	As to other sources, since I play Norse, I find the old tales in
the Elder Edda a godsend.  There are some fairly nice translations, (say
"the Northmen Talk") that take some liberties, and make a few poor choices
in making modern poetic English of the old Norse.  
	I have started translating myself, so I have tales in English.
Most are not poetic...(okay that's a long and involved argument as to
whether the poetics translate well to English.)  But they make fine short
stories.
	I incorperated three in my long poetic work "Johnsaga".  I can
send some if you wish, but it takes time to input them.  (my computer is
quite primitive...)
