Well, I seem unable to respond to Cynthia du Per Argent's (sp?) reply,
so I'll summarize instead:

[Not attacking West, simply pointing out differences]

I understand. No problem.

[Does having all of these principalities "change the game"?]

Yes, but I would hold, based on my Western experiences, that it changes
for the better. But, "west is west, and east is east, and never the twain
shall meet" (unless, of course, the West annexed Atenveldt & Outlands,
and the East annexed the Middle & Calontir!). There's no way to tell how
things will work out in the East. Different place, different system. I
think it would be better, but I only have my Western experiences to go
on. I could very well be wrong.

[Wanting what's best for Carolingia, not what's best for West]

Agreed. And now that I know more about the situation, I'm against
being part of a Northern Principality but do think all or part of the
Central region would make a good principality. Heck, Carolingia by
itself has enough members to be a principality by itself, or so I am
told.

[Not yet very active in the West, but will be, etc.]

Enjoy. The West is great camping country. Nothing like it. Every kingdom
has its own strong points and weak points. My favorite thing about the
West is having weekend camping events almost every weekend, except in
Winter (when it tends to rain). No humidity, no bugs. Wonderful.
Sniff. Feeling a little nostalgic at the moment. Gotta go.
