Greetings to all from Tibicen Blackmane, of the Carolingian Guild of
Musicians and Jongleurs!

First: Welcome, travelers all, whether returned from pilgrimage to War
or ancestral home, or newly come unto our fair Barony!

I have received many requests for information concerning guild
meetings, and, as I have just realized, it has been quite a long time
since any such news was sent over the net, here's what's up with the
Jongleurs.  Please pass this information on to the new scholars you
may encounter with a musical bent!

The next Jongleurs rehearsal is on Monday, Sept. 13.  That is the
Monday AFTER Labor Day and Council.  It will probably be in room 4-402
at MIT.  (If it is moved, there will be a sign on the door or the
backboard inside the room indicating to where you should go).
Instrumentals meets at 7pm.  Vocals meets at 8:30pm.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SING FOR UNIVERSITY (and we'd really like for you
to sing with us at University) AND CAN COMMIT TO BEING THERE, PLEASE
ATTEND VOCAL JONGLEURS ON THE 13TH!  PRIOR EXPERIENCE NOT NECESSARY!

INSTRUMENTALISTS who would like to play at University, either in the
dance band, or in small concert consorts, should talk to me (Tibicen)
at 643-3443 or dagoura@athena.mit.edu or at Council, Real Soon Now.

Additionally, we'll be playing at Dance Practice the week of Council;
room 16-310 MIT, 7:30pm.

Finally, if you are a new instrumentalist who would like join, or a
vocalist who can't commit time quite yet, we are holding a New
Person's night.  New people are always welcome to just show up at
rehearsals, but at the New Persons' Night we will be able to take some
time out of the music making to explain stuff, and I'll probably have
copies for the repertoire for the instrumentalists to take home.  It
will be the rehearsal right after University: Monday, Oct 10, 7pm and
8:30pm for instrumentalists and vocalists respectively, in the regular
room, 4-402 MIT.  Instrumentalists should bring their instruments.

Monday nights!), or questions regarding vocals can also go to the
vocals director, Gwendolyn of Middlemarch.
