Several years ago I bought an older paperweight, I have done some research to try to find information about it, but have not seen any similar work either actual weights or in the standard reference books.
It is a white stylized clemitis on a pink tossed muslin ground surrounded by a garland of alternating blue 'moss ground' and blue & yellow canes. The leaves are concentric cadmium green and white 'star' pastry canes, the stem is a cadmium green rod with white filigree. The center of the flower is a cog cane.
The lampwork is very flat within the dome of the weight, a 3.2" sphere, the base is ground flat there are no markings. There is a small amount of wear on the bottom.
If you have any information that might give me background or leads to finding out about this weight please let me know.
