What say you milord of Chaos, now that you have seen its sights and met some of its inhabitants?" She grins, "Did you suspect that you would be hosting a party for 'horrible flesh-rending demons from hell?'" ******** Subject: [Hydra] touche'! XSTo: morley, shoshana XSFrom: morley Morley tosses his head back and laughs heartily. "Oh, touche', milady! A touch! A palpable touch! Flesh-rending demons, indeed! I am chastened, milady, well and truly!" He smiles. After the laughter dies down a bit, he continues: "Well, I daresay that things were obviously not at their best, due to the events which were transpiring as we arrived. Certainly people had other, more pressing matters with which to concern themselves, than the entertainment of a stray Amberite...But I must ask: Are things always so...tentative there?" And then, almost as an afterthought: "Oh yes, milady, this (or rather, at the surface some fathoms above) is a suitable place for the docking of my little craft. I must admit that I do not quite know how I shall accomplish it this time around, but when I return, I know that the docks will be there. "Yes, water does seem to be a theme of sorts, interesting, isn't it? But I must say that I didn't choose the setting here, just the particulars. I admit I was unsure if it was wise to let you venture into Chanicuttways without me." As they select that nice vintage, Shoshana ponders for a bit then says to herself, "Well, why not?" She indicates a tasteful and tasty confection large enough for eight. Looking at him brightly, "As if one needs an excuse for a party. (grin) Our high concentration of recent initiates is a better one than many. In fact, there is another one I know of who chances are, is valiantly fighting boredom at home - we stopped by her house earlier. Might I have permission to invite Michelina to these ways of yours?" Morley says, laughing, "In retrospect, I can admit to no great confidence in the wisdom of it myself, I assure you, but I must say it was exhilarating at the time! [And here, he beams at you with a fair share of excitement] There I was, in the middle of Chanicuttways, standing with the man who- well, the man of the hour, if you will, and I a stranger and Amberite to boot! Needless to say, I felt quite a lot better when you returned. Less cast off and set adrift...Then I could pay a bit more attention to how fascinating the experience I was having was! "Oh I must say my tour of Chaos was all I might expect, and more! The *most* amazing time, sans doute!" Then his face drops into a concerned expression. "Oh my, please forgive me milady, but this must all be terribly upsetting for you. The Keeper of the Logrus murdered, your home in a turmoil, and here go I, tromping about in a perfectly provincial manner, no doubt causing you no end of worries when worries are what you have in abundance, yes?" He stops, turns fully towards you, and touches you lightly on your forearm as he speaks. "I have much to thank you for, I think. You were very kind to show me such courtesy in a time of such turmoil." And he looks you in your eyes and says,"I would consider it a boon to have the opportunity to return the favor, should that be your desire..." He casts his glance down and away again. "But yes, I think a bit of a celebration is in order. Do so many usually attempt the Logrus so close in time? Yes, if it is to be a celebration for those who have successfully negotiated the Logrus, perhaps Michelina should also be here...We wouldn't care for her to feel left out."
