Character Quiz Please answer the following for your character in what ever order seems most appropriate: >Was there a defining moment in your history that made you who you are >today? What was it? When Jasmine was 16, she was forced to go to a debutante ball. She was to be presented. At the time, jasmine thought this was plain foolishness. She loved the battlefield, the test of one's skills against another, the glory of battle. But her father would not be denied (Jasmine suspects that he made a promise to her mother and was reluctantly carrying through with it.) Anyhow, Jasmine was dressed and bedecked as befits a lady of her stature in the Empire. She was in a ball gown of light green, he hair done just right, etc. Looking back on the event, Jasmine has to admit that she was quite beautiful that night. At the ball she found that her looks and charm were as purposeful a weapon as any sword could be. >Do you have any life long ambitions? Describe them. Jasmine wishes to make her father proud of her. She has trained all her life to be a swords woman and a soldier. However, she is also a woman, something that she is coming to terms with. She wishes to be both the perfect soldier and Daddy's little girl, all at the same time. >Is there (or could there be) anyone or anything worth dying for? What? >Why? Now, there are lots of valuable things in the universe. Many things that are sacred and special and worth making promises for. But so far, Jasmine has not found anything physical that would be worth throwing her life away. Now Jasmine loves her father and would do just about anything, including take foolish risks. However there would have to be at least a chance of success for jasmine to go for it. After all, her father would not want Jasmine to throw away both her life and his for nothing. >Is there (or could there be) anyone or anything worth killing for? >Who or what, and why? Death is just another part of the battlefield. While cold-blooded murder is one thing, something that jasmine has never done (yet), place a sword in her hand and give her an opponent, and she become a tigeress, neither giving or asking for quarter (unless agreed on before hand). Jasmine isn't bloodthirsty -- she just doesn't leave enemies alive behind her. >Are there any circumstances under which you would attempt to do >something you thought doomed to fail? Describe them. How much would >the consequences of failure (from none on one extreme to death on the >other) affect your decision? Any challenge given is one worthy of respect. However, if the challenge is a fool's, then Jasmine would ignore it and move on. However, if the challenge was acceptable and necessary, Jasmine would try anything and everything to make sure she succeeded. failure is not an option for Jasmine. If Jasmine did fail, and she has on occasion, she analyzes everything about the failure. The causes, the effects, the circumstances until she felt that she could take the challenge again and this time triumph. If she dies while taking the challenge, c'est la vie, it happens. But Jasmine has no intention of ever failing when her life, or the life of one for who she cares, is at risk. >What is the most important thing in the world to you? Her self-respect, followed by her father's respect. After that comes her mother's respect. >Are you guided in life by principles and ideals or by consequences and >practicalities? Jasmine believes in practical ideals. She knows that life is not cut and dry and can often be messy. At the same time she has a code that she tries to follow. However, adhering to a code makes one predictable, and predictability with get one killed. For this reason, Jasmine affects an attitude of bad-assedness and attitude. However, once she make a commitment, she will carry through no matter what. >What emotions drive you most? Which emotions do you find irrelevant or >perhaps worthless? Jealousy is one of Jasmine's strongest emotions, and the one she despises the most. She sees no reason for it, but is sometime trapped in circumstances where she feels it. She hates herself at these times and often goes off to practice with the sword or to write poetry (or both). >How do you view other people? On what basis to you judge their worth? >Do you have different standards for different sorts of people? Jasmine judges people on their worth. She also judges them based on their actions and how they treat and act towards the world. Not every smiling face is happy, and not every frowning face is sad. Jasmine makes an effort to look beyond the wrapping to get at the package inside. Warriors are judged on their skills, flexibility, and honesty. Others are judged by how useful an occupation (in Jasmine's opinion), the person has. >Is there anything that might drive you to seek real, destroy your enemy >sort of revenge? What is it? How would you obtain your revenge? Jasmine can be vengeful -- very vengeful However, her vengence will depend on what she judges the other person would be most hurt by. She is a great believer in an eye for eye, something her father has tried to talk out of her. She understands what he is saying, just doesn't understand the principles behind the circumstances sometimes. >What is the thing the you do not have that you most want? Jasmine wishes she could find an equal to herself. however, she has not found one yet. Too many men believe that they are her equal and this attitude has just enabled Jasmine to beat them more soundly. Jasmine wants someone to share her feeling with, but will not do this unless she respects the person first. She is a lot like the Greek myth of Atlanta in this way. >By what means do you usually attempt to achieve your ends? The most direct, or the most efficient means. recently Jasmine has discovered the pastime of intrigue. She is experimenting with manipulation and intrigue now, though she does not consider herself very good at it yet. >Name one thing you would do that your player would not. Kill. Jasmine finds it easy to disable, maim, or kill an enemy or opponent. Also, Jasmine likes to play with men's feelings. She knows that it is wrong, but rationalizes, thinking that if the man did not want to do the things she set up, then they wouldn't do it. >What is your greatest fear? Failing is such a way as to make her parents not love her anymore. She also has a fear of ugliness and becoming ugly. Jasmine is not particularly vain, it is just her beauty is her favorite weapon right now. >What is your greatest failing? Arrogance and underestimating the intelligence and wiliness of her opponents. She is getting better at this though. But she is still more than arrogant enough to be from Amber.
