ActivitiesThis
is our last party before we graduate and go our separate ways! To
make the most of this vacation, we plan to accommodate a plethora of
daytime and evening activities.
Available Daytime activities will include:
Sailing
Our days will be filled with a moderate amount of sailing. The float
plan has been designed so that we will not have to sail significant
distances to reach any destination. Our longest day of sailing will
not exceed three hours. Skippers and crew with an interest in longer
distance sailing can be accommodated with extended day trips.
SCUBA Diving
Diving in the British Virgin Islands' crystal clear waters is not to be
missed. Our float plan takes us through a number of fantastic dive
sites. Interested participants can either arrange for specific
SCUBA day trips, or rent equipment and dive from their sailboats.
Past students have used the company Underwater
Boat Service Ltd. without any complaints. Please make sure you
have appropriate SCUBA certification if you intend to dive on this trip.
Windsurfing
The British Virgin Islands are a Windsurfing Mecca. The constant
trade winds and warm water make the islands ideal for all levels of
sailor. For more information about Windsurfing in the BVI's refer to
the Windsport
magazine synopsis.
Boardsailing
BVI rents windsurfing equipment at
two of the BVI's premier windsurfing locations: Nanny Cay and Trellis
Bay. Details about pricing and lessons can be found on the company
website.
Fishing, Snorkeling, etc.
There exist a number of additional activities to fill your days.
Use your imagination!
Evening Activities:
C-Funtion
Don't worry, we have not forgotten about the evenings. What
would a Sloan related trip be without a C-Function!
If you have any additional suggestions of daytime or
evening activities, please send an email to the trip
organizers.
