Adding an Ethernet Adapter to a Virtual Machine

You can add up to three virtual Ethernet adapters to a virtual machine. You can also specify the virtual network connected to a virtual Ethernet adapter through the VMware Management Interface.

To add a virtual Ethernet adapter to a virtual machine:

  1. From the VMware Management Interface overview page (http://<hostname>/overview), click the link for the virtual machine you want to modify. Be sure the virtual machine is powered off.
  2. On the details page for that virtual machine, click Edit VM Configuration.
  3. Select the appropriate adapter and the network driver for this network connection.
  4. Click Save Changes.
