Setting up virtual machines on a disk partition

When you set up virtual machines on a disk partition, you have several options:

• You can choose the type of disk you are creating.
• You can choose the disk mode to use for the virtual disk partition.
• You can assign access rights to the partition (no access, read only, or read/write).
• You can hide the type of read-only partitions from other operating systems running in other virtual machines or on the host machine.
