The Pool

After seemingly walking forever, you have come to a huge, domed chamber, at the center of which lies a sparkling, circular pool. A fountain burbles cheerfully to one side, spilling clear water. Greenery overhands the edges, dipping delicate leaves into the water.

There is a large boulder here, with words inscribed on it:

"As you can see, we are making improvements to the Real World. Enjoy life! Take your time ---"

But the rest of the words have been blown away, as if by a jackhammer. Scrawled over the legible words is a barely readable note:

"Don't believe it! It's a lie!"

It's really tempting to sit down and relax. On the other hand, it sounds like you have a lot to do in very little time...

Hmmm. That gives you an idea.
