Langer named Institute Professor - Robert Langer, the Germeshausen Professor of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering, has been named Institute Professor, the highest honor awarded by the MIT faculty and administration.

MIT global habitat longevity award - This award recognizes research into long-term trends affecting Earth's environment and habitat. It is open to any member of the MIT community. Application deadline is March 15.

MIT ranks high for postdocs - MIT was ranked third among U.S. academic institutions in the annual survey, "Best Places to Work for Postdocs," published by The Scientist.

MIT Sloan offers management minor - A major new initiative will allow MIT students to add business skills to their science and engineering arsenal. This fall, MIT Sloan will begin to offer a minor in management to undergrads campuswide.
