Configuration Editor

The Configuration Editor is used to configure a virtual machine. The Configuration Editor can modify an existing virtual machine configuration, such as one created by the Configuration Wizard.

If you wish to use the Configuration Editor to edit an existing virtual machine configuration, choose File > Open to open the virtual machine configuration file (.cfg) then use Settings > Configuration Editor to edit it. All configuration options may be modified when a virtual machine is powered off. Some configuration options may be modified while a virtual machine is powered on, such as options for removable devices and Miscellaneous parameters.

After making changes in the Configuration Editor, you have two choices:

Use Power > Power On to start the virtual machine.
