Selecting a Display Name for the Virtual Machine

You can choose the name that is displayed for a virtual machine when you initially create a virtual machine configuration. You can use the Configuration Editor to change it later.

To change the display name for a virtual machine:

1. Connect to the virtual machine with a console. Make sure the virtual machine is powered off.
2. Select Settings > Configuration Editor from the console.
3. Click Misc in the left-hand panel.
4. Under Display name, enter the name you wish to use, then click OK to apply your changes.
