Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about Services and Scripts

Why isn't my callsign listed in your amateur radio database?

We only provide a gateway for the data; we don't maintain it. In fact, the data are maintained by the FCC, which releases them over the net at ftp://ftp.fcc.gov/pub/XFS_AlphaTest/amateur. These are updated daily, usually within 24 hours of the FCC receiving the forms. The University of Alabama at Little Rock ham club serves the data, and we translate the requests to their server. If you have problems with the data, you probably need to contact the FCC directly to correct it. For problems with the gateway itself, please let Mark Eichin (N1DPU) eichin@mit.edu know and he'll look into it.
