Your Guide to Who's Dating Whom in Amber

Keverian and Reena

The first player character to take the plunge was Keverian. Perhaps more accurate would be to say that the first PC to be propositioned was Keverian. Shortly after her rescue from Castle Mortivan, Reena showed up naked in his bed. ``I just thought I'd make the offer,'' she smiled. ``How tacky,'' said Felicia when she heard.

The two were a little bit of an item for a while, but the fact the no one (including Keverian) really trusted her at all turned out to be a bit of an impediment. The whole thing ended rather badly: there was the matter of her having been secretly on the other side in the whole Ur-Corwin mess and then Keverian wound up breaking her arm with a dinner plate, during the little side trip to Avalon... now she doesn't have any interest in seeing him. Neither Keverian nor any of his friends seem terribly broken up about this, so perhaps all's well that ends well, eh?

Felicia and Dalamar

Next to succumb to the bug was Felicia, intrigued by the dashing young sp-- er, diplomat from chaos, Dalamar. (``Look at his psyche! No one in shadow has psyche like that.'') The two dated on the (almost) sly for quite some time, neatly avoiding the issue of his job being to spy on her family for quite sometime. Unfortunately for Felicia, Dalamar had the misfortune of having been caught in the blast radius of a Logrus bomb, and hasn't been quite the same since. He suffered some memory loss. ``Yeah, I remember you. You were pretty okay.'' Poor Felicia.

Mikele and Martin

About the same time as Felicia began to show an interest in Dalamar, Mikele found herself abandoned in Amber and introduced herself to the only other person her age there: Martin. They fenced for a while. The he invited her to lunch and on the way back he bought her flowers. One thing led to another and before long, they had become the favorite topic of family gossip in Amber. ``So how serious is this Mikele and Martin thing?'' everyone kept asking Felicia.

Well, almost everyone, the two were nearly engaged, by the time Torquil has the news smacked in his face: ``Mikele is dating Martin? When did they have time for that? You're supposed to do that during the quiet times, not in the middle of world shaking crises.'' They are married now and have two month old twins: Mira and Alexander.

Caine and Derrista

Marriage being all the rage in Amber these days (Caine's words, not mine), Caine finally decides to bring Felicia's mother Derrista to Amber and marry her. (Or are they already married? This is so hard to keep track of.)

Caine's been pleased as can be about the whole thing. No doubt her recent, ah, revitalization had nothing to do with it. ("She looks twenty years younger," says Felicia. "Did you see her psyche?" says Torquil.) Flora's curious.
