OEIT Innovation Projects
OEIT selects projects that advance the Institute's initiatives and departmental goals and which illuminate future directions for technology in teaching and learning. We work primarily as partners with faculty in the experimentation quadrant of the innovation cycle, stepping forward to pilot new technologies as they impact life and learning at the Institute.
For learning technology pilots that demonstrate genuine value, OEIT searches for and indentifies pathways for their continued delivery as sustainable services supported by appropriate units within the Institute.
OEIT works with faculty to bring innovative uses of technology to enhance teaching and learning at MIT. OEIT collaborates on projects with faculty that:
- look for general sustainable solutions to specific educational problems
- contribute to our understanding of contemporary technologies
- inform us about how technologies enhance learning in specific disciplines
- develop new learning and education practices
